Pastor Clint Horn was born on December 14, 1975 to Booker T. Horn, Sr. and Merlene Woods-Horn in Beaumont, Texas. The youngest of three children, Pastor Horn began at an early age using the gift God gave of his voice to sing at church. While attending Greater Little Zion Church of God in Christ, where the Pastor was the late Dr. Adam Smith, Pastor Horn learned the meaning of living a holy and separated life. After leaving Beaumont, Texas at the age of 9 years old and moving to Houston, Texas, Pastor Horn attended First Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent S. O. Brown for several years. While attending college in 2002, Pastor Horn was introduced to the late Superintendent Walter L. Bowie, Sr. and began attending Bethlehem Temple Church of God in Christ. During this time, Pastor Horn began to hear the calling of the Lord vividly to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During a District Meeting on a Wednesday night, Pastor Horn received the gift of the Holy Ghost while tarrying at the alter. In his own words he exclaimed later that, “My life will never be the same!”
While studying often and after prayer and consulting with Superintendent Bowie, Pastor Horn was licensed as a Minister in the Church of God in Christ in 2003. Later in October 2006, Pastor Horn received his Certificate of Ordination and became an Elder of the Church as well. As an Ordained Elder Pastor Horn served faithfully as the Assistant Pastor of Bethlehem Temple Church of God in Christ for several years following and listening to the wisdom of the late Superintendent Bowie.
As a third generation and seasoned Elder within the Church of God in Christ, Pastor Horn has served as Assistant Pastor, Finance Assistant, Executive Secretary and Executive Board Member of the Texas Central Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Currently he serves as the Senior Pastor of New Light Church of God in Christ, Assistant Jurisdictional Secretary, Sunday School Superintendent and Executive Board Member for the Texas South Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
His experience in working with individuals within the church on all levels and knowledge of how to integrate and work with corporate entities to partner with the church are some of his most valuable tools.
Pastor Horn also has vast experience of increasing productivity using technology and he is committed to shepherding individuals to Christ, engaging the community in missionary work and community outreach. Pastor Horn also serves within the community including the current District #0421 Precinct Chair for the Democratic Party, Executive Board Member and Chaplain for HBAD (Houston Black American Democrats) and Executive Board Member for Summerwood Homeowners Association.
Pastor Horn has been married to Melissa Yvonne Horn for over 12 years and is the proud father of 3 boys, Kevin, Caden and Carter.
